The book includes thirteen treasured family recipes saved from spattered index cards and faded papers. The recipes were then tested for the modern kitchen in the family’s attempt to recapture the soul of each dish.

It vividly recounts the lives and times of one family from Germany’s Palatinate region bordering France.
